Rev. Dr. Leroy Mashore, Jr. and his wife Donna are natives of Richmond, VA. Rev. Mashore is the son of the late Leroy Mashore, Sr. and Doris L. Mashore, and the sibling of Taronda and Tanika Mashore. He was called to serve the Lord in 1998, where he responded by daily reading and study of God’s Word. Desiring a closer walk with the Lord, he availed himself with seminary training, earning a bachelor’s degree of Sacred Theology from Amherst Theological Seminary, Madison Heights, VA.
Licensed in 2004 and ordained in 2011, he served as an associate minister of Bright Hope Baptist Church, Louisa, VA under the leadership of Pastor Alonzo P. Minor. Rev Mashore completed a dual master’s degree program in 2017, at Virginia Union University’s Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, earning both a Master of Divinity and Master of Christian Education degrees and earned his Doctorate degree at Liberty University for Pastoral Leadership in 2021. Dr. Mashore has upheld community and civic roles as a motivational speaker, a counselor, and administrator for an Inner-City Youth Center in Richmond, VA, and served as a consultant for Correctional Reform in Charlottesville and Hopewell, VA. Presently, he serves as a chaplain at Tri-Cities Hospital in Hopewell, VA, and member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference for the Prince George Regional Chapter, both under the direction of Dr. Sylvia Tucker. Leroy Mashore is employed in Henrico, VA as a human resources manager, and serves as a funeral assistant in Richmond, VA.
Leroy Mashore served as pastor of Wayland Baptist Church, Louisa, VA, where he and his wife Lady Mashore diligently served for nine years fulfilling their God given assignment in March 2024. His commitment to Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior has established him as an effective leader, teacher, and servant. As caring people, The Mashore's enjoy quality time with Rashad Lamar (son) and Hunter Kash (grandson), family, and their dear friends. Dr. Mashore’s motto is, “People don’t care about how much you know: they only want to know how much you care!” Dr. Leroy and Donna Mashore embraces God’s will for their ministry future in service.
